The votes are in, the judges have deliberated, and we’re so excited to announce the 11 Grand Prize winners of our 2025 Travel Well Spent competition!

From breathtaking scenery to those blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that make a trip unforgettable, these winning entries captured the true spirit of travel well spent.

Meet the winners

A total of 11 Grand Prize winners have been selected:

  • 5 winners chosen by community voting

  • 6 winners selected by Inspiring Vacations judges

Each Grand Prize winner has won:

  • Two (2) tickets (winner + companion) on the 13 Day Sri Lanka Uncovered Tour, departing August 2026

  • Return flights from select departure cities: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Auckland, Los Angeles, Chicago, or New York*

*Winners from Canada will be required to make their own way to one of the departure cities listed above, or directly to Sri Lanka at their own cost.

"Travelling by bus from Cusco, I reached the entrance to Rainbow Mountain at nearly 4,700m AMSL before hiking up to 4,905m. The thin air made every step challenging, and I stopped often just to catch my breath. But standing at the top, overlooking the colourful striped landscape known as Rainbow Mountain, made it all worth it. The colours shifted beautifully with the sunlight. Even better, alpacas were waiting at the summit. I took photos, chatted to them, and thanked them for the moment. Their carer was wonderful. I’m so glad I didn’t let the altitude stop me—truly a trip highlight."

"Morocco. Where stories are told in tile and colour and the tea is too sweet. Olive trees stretch for miles, spices linger in the air, and mud clay walls glow beneath the sun. Camels cross amber dunes while the Atlas Mountains watch from afar. Life moves right-to-left but always begins on the right foot. Handmade and heart made, always. Fridays taste like couscous, and the souks hum with soul. Shukran, Morocco!"
